1. General Information
Everything on yourmargam.com is published for general guidance to students planning to study abroad. It is written for a wide audience and cannot account for your particular academic record, finances, nationality, or circumstances.
Read this page before you rely on the tools or the AI assistant. It sets out where our information comes from, how current it is, and which decisions you need to verify with an official source rather than with us.
2. No Guarantees or Warranties
We cannot guarantee that you will be admitted to a university, awarded a scholarship, or granted a visa. Those decisions belong to admissions committees, scholarship panels, and immigration authorities, who apply their own criteria and change them without notice. Nobody outside those bodies can promise you a result, and a consultant who does is either misinformed or dishonest.
What we provide is mentorship: judgement about where you stand, help with the parts of the application you control, and honesty when a plan looks unrealistic. The rest is outside anyone's control, including ours.
3. Information Accuracy
Study abroad information ages quickly. Tuition fees, entry requirements, English test cut offs, post study work rules, visa fees, and financial requirements all change, sometimes mid cycle and sometimes with immediate effect. We update the site when we learn of changes, though there will be periods when a page is behind the official position.
Before you act on anything here, confirm it against the university's own website, the UK Home Office or the relevant immigration authority, or the bank in question. Where our page and an official source disagree, the official source is correct.
4. Free Tools: EMI Calculator and Packing Checklists
The education loan EMI calculator is an illustration. It applies a standard reducing balance formula to the numbers you type in and shows what the monthly instalment would be. It is not a loan offer, not an approval, and not a statement that any bank will lend to you at that rate. Your actual rate depends on your credit profile, collateral, co applicant, chosen university, and the bank's policy on the day you apply.
The bank interest rates shown alongside the calculator are gathered automatically from public comparison websites and fall back to figures we recorded earlier when that collection fails. They can be out of date, misread by our parser, or simply wrong. Rates marked as live were read from a third party page rather than from the bank, and no bank has verified any figure on our site. Get the current rate from the lender before you commit to anything.
The packing checklists for the United States and the United Kingdom come from what previous students found they needed. Airline baggage allowances, customs restrictions, and prohibited item lists change often and differ by carrier and country. Medicines in particular carry rules about quantities and prescriptions that vary by destination. Check the current rules with your airline and the destination customs authority before you pack, especially for anything medical, electrical, or edible.
5. AI Assistant Disclaimer
Our AI assistant runs on a large language model from OpenAI. It generates replies by predicting text, which means it can state something false with complete confidence. It can invent a university requirement, quote a fee that no longer applies, or describe a visa rule that was never real. This is a known property of the technology and not a fault we can fully engineer away.
Use it to orient yourself and to ask the questions you were too embarrassed to ask a person. Do not use it as your source for a deadline, a fee, a visa condition, or an eligibility rule. Verify anything that carries a consequence with the university, the immigration authority, or with us directly.
The assistant does not replace mentorship, and its answers are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
6. Third-Party Information and Affiliate Links
We link to universities, banks, government pages, and product listings. Those sites are controlled by other organisations and we do not vet, endorse, or take responsibility for what appears on them. A link is a pointer rather than a recommendation of everything on the far side of it.
Our packing checklists contain Amazon affiliate links. Margam is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Buying through those links costs you nothing extra. Products appear because students needed them, not because of the commission, though you should know the commission exists when you read a recommendation.
Product availability, pricing, specifications, and delivery are matters between you, Amazon, and the seller. We are not party to that purchase and cannot help with a return or a defect.
7. Not Professional Advice
Margam provides education mentorship. We are not immigration lawyers, not registered migration agents, not licensed financial advisers, not tax advisers, and not medical professionals. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or medical advice.
For a complicated visa history, a refusal on your record, a criminal matter, or anything involving your right to enter a country, consult a qualified immigration lawyer. For decisions about borrowing, collateral, or currency, consult the lender and a qualified financial adviser. The loan calculator on this site is a planning aid and is no substitute for that conversation.
8. Testimonials and Success Stories
The students, admissions, and visa outcomes shown on this site are real and published with the permission of the students concerned. They describe what happened in those specific cases.
They are not a prediction of your result. Any figure we publish about past outcomes, including success rates, describes our record to date rather than a promise about future applications. Those students had their own academic records, finances, and timing, and the rules they applied under may since have changed. A profile that resembles yours can still receive a different decision.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margam, its founder, employees, affiliates, and partners are not liable for losses arising from a rejected application, a refused visa, a lost scholarship, money spent on fees or travel, a loan taken on the basis of a calculator estimate, an item bought through an affiliate link, or reliance on anything the AI assistant said.
We are equally not liable for interruptions to the website, for errors in data collected from third party sources, or for what happens on sites we link to. Where liability cannot be excluded, the limits in section 10 of our Terms of Service apply.
10. Your Responsibility
The decisions stay yours. Which universities to apply to, how much to borrow, what to declare on a visa form, and when to travel are choices only you can make, and you carry their consequences.
Verify deadlines, fees, and requirements against official sources. Read what you sign, including loan agreements and university offer conditions. Keep your own copies of every document you submit. Where our guidance and an official instruction conflict, follow the official instruction and tell us, because it usually means a rule has changed and other students need to know.
11. Updates and Changes
This disclaimer changes as the site changes, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. New tools and new features get covered here when they launch. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
