Terms of Service

Last updated: August 20, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Margam, the study abroad mentorship practice founded by Jeevithram Mamidala and operating from Hanamkonda, Warangal, Telangana. They apply the moment you use yourmargam.com, open one of the free tools, message the AI assistant, or engage us for mentorship.

Read them before you rely on anything here. If you disagree with any part, stop using the site. We can revise these terms, and the revised version applies from the day it appears on this page with a new date at the top. Where a change materially reduces your rights, we will email everyone whose address we hold before it takes effect.

2. Description of Services

Margam mentors students applying to universities abroad, with most of our work covering the United Kingdom. That includes shortlisting universities and courses, reviewing and guiding statement of purpose drafts, preparing applications, guiding students through the student visa process, and pointing towards scholarships and education loan options.

The website also carries tools you can use without engaging us. The education loan EMI calculator estimates monthly repayments and compares published bank interest rates. The packing checklists for the United States and the United Kingdom list what students have needed to carry. The AI assistant at ai.yourmargam.com answers study abroad questions.

Margam is an independent mentorship practice. We are not a university, a bank, a visa authority, an immigration lawyer, or a licensed financial adviser, and we are not an agent of any institution. No university, government department, or lender pays us to steer students towards them.

3. Eligibility

You need to be 18 or older to use this website or engage our services. Anyone younger has to have a parent or legal guardian deal with us on their behalf, and that adult takes responsibility under these terms.

By using the site you confirm that you are 18 or older, that what you tell us is true, and that nothing in the law of your country stops you from receiving these services.

4. User Responsibilities

Give us accurate information. Our advice is only as good as what you tell us, and a wrong academic record, test score, or financial figure produces guidance that does not fit your case. Tell us promptly when something changes.

Every document you submit to a university or a visa authority has to be genuine. We will not help anyone fabricate transcripts, forge financial statements, misstate work experience, or write a statement of purpose describing things that did not happen. We end the engagement immediately if we find out that has occurred, with no refund, and we will not misrepresent your case to an institution on your behalf.

Meeting deadlines is your responsibility. We tell you what is due and when, but we cannot submit on your behalf without the material and we are not liable for an application that missed a cut off because it arrived late with us.

Do not attempt to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or break into the website, resell our tools or content as your own, or use the AI assistant to generate anything unlawful or abusive. We block access where any of that happens.

5. Service Limitations and Disclaimers

We cannot promise an admission, a scholarship, a visa, or any particular outcome. Universities and visa authorities decide independently, they apply criteria that change without notice, and nobody outside those bodies controls the result. Treat any consultant who guarantees a visa as a warning sign.

The free tools are estimates and reference material. The EMI calculator produces an illustration from the numbers you enter, not a loan offer, and the bank rates it displays are collected from public sources that may be out of date or wrong. Only the bank can tell you what you will actually pay. The packing checklists reflect what has worked for previous students, and customs and airline rules change constantly, so confirm anything that matters against the current official guidance.

The AI assistant generates answers automatically and can be confidently wrong. Verify anything important with a person before acting on it. The details in section 4 of our Disclaimer explain this further.

The website is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw any tool at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

The written content, checklists, tools, design, and the Margam name and logo belong to Margam and are protected under Indian copyright and trademark law. You may read the site, print the checklists, and use the calculator for planning your own studies. You may not republish our material, sell it, or present it as your own work, and other consultancies may not lift our checklists or tool content for their own sites.

What you write stays yours. Your statement of purpose, essays, and personal documents remain your property, and we claim no ownership over drafts you send us for review. We use them only to advise you.

Where a student agrees to appear in a success story or testimonial, that permission covers the specific use we described when we asked. You can withdraw it later by writing to hello@yourmargam.com and we will take the material down.

7. Free Tools and Affiliate Links

The EMI calculator asks for your name and email before showing results, and the phone number it requests is optional. Submitting those details means you agree to us contacting you about study abroad financing and mentorship. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

The packing checklists contain Amazon affiliate links. Margam is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Buying through one of those links costs you nothing extra and pays us a small commission. Products are on the list because students needed them, and Amazon has no influence over what we include.

Anything you buy on Amazon is a contract between you and Amazon. Returns, warranties, delivery, and defects are matters for Amazon and the seller, and Margam is not a party to that purchase.

8. Payment and Refund Policy

Much of what we do carries no upfront cost, because the practice is built around students who cannot pay large advances before they have an offer in hand.

Where a service is paid, we tell you the fee in writing before any work starts, and that written agreement governs the engagement. Fees are not refundable once work has begun unless your agreement says otherwise, since the value is in the time and judgement already spent on your case rather than in a delivered product. A refusal by a university or a visa authority is not grounds for a refund, because the work was still performed. If we are the ones who cannot continue, we refund the portion covering work not yet done.

Prices can change, though never for an engagement already agreed in writing. Third party costs such as university application fees, visa fees, English test fees, and credential evaluations are yours to pay directly and are never included in ours.

9. Confidentiality

What you share with us stays between us. Academic records, financial circumstances, family situations, rejections, and the parts of your story you would rather not broadcast are treated as confidential and are not discussed with other students or shared with other consultancies.

We disclose your information only where you have asked us to, for instance to a university as part of your application, or where Indian law compels us. Our Privacy Policy sets out the companies that process data on our behalf and what each of them sees.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent Indian law permits, Margam, its founder, and anyone working with us are not liable for a rejected application, a refused visa, a withdrawn scholarship, a course or university that turned out to be wrong for you, money lost on fees or travel, or losses caused by inaccurate information you gave us.

We are also not liable for the accuracy of bank interest rates shown on the calculator, for what the AI assistant tells you, for goods bought through affiliate links, or for anything that happens on a website we link to.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the total fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you paid us nothing, which is true for everyone using the free tools, our liability is limited to nothing. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that Indian law does not allow to be limited.

11. Indemnification

If you give us false information, submit fabricated documents, break these terms, or infringe someone else's rights, and a claim reaches us because of it, you cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees.

12. Termination

You can end an engagement whenever you want by telling us. Fees for work already completed remain payable.

We end an engagement where a student submits fabricated documents, asks us to misrepresent their case, abuses our team, repeatedly ignores deadlines to the point where the application cannot proceed, or does not pay an agreed fee. Where we terminate for dishonesty, no refund is due. On termination we return your documents and stop work, and the sections on intellectual property, confidentiality, liability, and dispute resolution continue to apply.

13. Dispute Resolution

Tell us first. Write to hello@yourmargam.com describing the problem and we will respond within 15 working days. Most complaints are a misunderstanding about what was promised, and they get resolved in a phone call.

Where that fails, Indian law governs these terms and the courts at Warangal, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction. Both sides agree to attempt good faith discussion before filing anything.

14. Our Philosophy and Approach

Margam exists for students from tier 2 and tier 3 colleges who get written off by consultancies chasing easier applicants. We tell students when a plan is unrealistic, when a university is a poor fit, and when the honest answer is to wait a year and apply stronger.

That means we sometimes advise against what a student wants to hear. It is the point of the practice rather than a failure of service, and disagreeing with our assessment is not itself grounds for a refund.

15. Changes to Terms

Revisions appear on this page with the date at the top updated. Material changes are emailed to everyone whose address we hold before they take effect. Continuing to use the site or our services afterwards means you accept the revised terms.

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
